As usual, ATLETICAGENEVE creates emulation and motivation by organizing 100m and 800m races in the middle of a meeting for a selection of the best young Geneva talents aged 16 and 17 (U18).
These races are a great motivation for these athletes who, like Timothé Mumenthaler, winner of the U16s's 100m in 2019, now belong to the Swiss elite.It is therefore with the same motivation and the same enthusiasm that, on the initiative of Michèle Garlinski, we launched the idea of a Geneva final in the city centre. Thanks to Visana and the total adherence to this initiative of the Geneva Athletics Association (AGA) and the essential support of the Sports Department of the City of Geneva, the "VISANA-SPRINT" will be organized on Wednesday May 7, before the Mur des Réformateurs!
Magnificent project which materializes by having polarized the skills and energies of various actors and partners.

ATLETICAGENEVE will be present with these high-level international athletes who make themselves available to this event to supervise the warm-ups of the young athletes and to encourage them until they award the precious medals and souvenir prizes to the 3 best in each category.

Tomorrow, some of these young athletes will perhaps be top athletes from our canton who will wear the jersey of the Swiss team. In any case, everyone will keep an unforgettable memory of this day alongside the international stars of ATLETICAGENEVE.

Thanks to Visana for giving us this great opportunity and thanks to the AGA and the City of Geneva for coordinating and setting up this first edition of the extramural cantonal final (but well in front of the internationally known Monument of the Wall of the Reformer) to mark a historic edition, as the general secretary of the AGA, Elena Portolès-Nickles, has already enthusiastically declaimed!
