35th edition of ATLETICAGENEVE, memorial Georges Caillat
The Geneva International meeting is now anchored in the tradition and corresponds to the official launch of the Swiss international season.
And the word international is not in vain: ATLETICAGENEVE regularly attracts more than 60 nations (65 in 2022) for the 550 athletes from 5 continents.
Bronze, the meeting knew how to evolve with modern athletics and keep intact its attractiveness and even develop it!
Despite its extremely modest (not to say fragile) budget, the meeting continues on its way thanks to the help of the work of passionate volunteers who receive no salary or compensation of any kind.
Geneva meeting is very attractive because of various key points. Of course the warm welcome from the whole organizing committee who make this meeting friendly and accessible. But also for other practical reasons. Geneva has a city airport which means that athletes arrive directly on site. Since their arrival in less than 5 minutes they are at the reception of the NASH hotel!
On competition's day, in about fifteen minutes, they arrive at the stage of the mythic Bout-du-Monde athletics track. The athletes feels like at home, because the environment is quiet and the surrounding nature makes it very special and their motivation is at its top.
The meeting ideology is based on fundamental values and principles such as the fight against doping (code of conduct), the positioning against abuse and sexual harassment in sport (safeguarding), the development of athletics among young people, the meeting of Geneva is appreciated and recognized for this, everywhere in Europe and in the world too.

At five weeks, we are launching an appeal for volunteers to come and help us (register here), for supporters to support us and for the public to note the date of June 10 and come and admire this crazy day up close (the meeting starts at 11:30 a.m. with the 4x100m and ends at 6:00 p.m. with the men's 1500m).
