We have received confirmation that athletes travelling from the following countries :
  • United Kingdom (from May 27),
  • Brazil,
  • South Africa,
  • Canada,
  • India,
  • Nepal
ARE NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER SWITZERLAND or must comply with a quarantine period of at least 7 days !!
In other words, athletes from these countries must submit to a quarantine of 10 days, reducible to 7 days in case of a negative covid test.
Athlete from those indicated countries but not coming from there, are possibly allowed to enter Switzerland IF, at least one week before the event can prove that have been in another country (not on the list). We suppose this would normally count as a equivalent of quarantine of the minimum required 7 days (if a negative covid test can be provided). We hope some of you are concerned.
Those who come from other countries, have the exemption from quarantine, for the competition.
For them, a valid PCR test is sufficient.
PCR TESTS mandatory
Entering Switzerland requires a valid PCR test (those tests are valid for 72 hours).
It is the sole responsibility of the athlete to pass a valid test prior to travel.
QUICK TESTS (free) @ Terminal 2 Geneva Airport
Free quick tests, without appointment, are available for ATLETICAGENEVE participants and coaches.
A dedicated area for ATLETICAGENEVE has been set up at TERMINAL 2 at the Geneva Airport.
Those tests can be undertaken in 15 minutes.
All this, at one week of the event is very sad for those who won't be able to attend the meeting.
We have put so many efforts to get it done and give you the opportunity to compete on a great event.
We are sorry for those who are directly concerned by this measures and we do hope that you can rapidly find another good opportunity.
